Epoxy & Hardwood Night Lamp

This extremely simple night lamp was made for a young girl who was afraid of the dark which was causing disrupted sleeping. It used Epoxy, low voltage LED's and 9 sticks of hardwood timber.

Firstly we planed 9 sticks of timber square in contrasting colours.  Each stick was then snapped separately and then all of the tops and all of the bottoms were glued together and spaced slightly apart.  The gap was filled with epoxy and a string of waterproof LED's.  After careful routing and extensive sanding a coat of clear lacquer was applied.  A simple battery box and switch was then added.
